Christ took the human flesh
To dwell with his creation and save them
In a humble manger a glorious king was born
Glory to the almighty in the highest
Your incarnation re-opened the gates of heaven
You were born to save mankind from sin
Transgression distorted your image in me
Now I am free from corruption and filled with your grace
Oh my creator, you have granted your people salvation
And came down from heaven above
You left your glory and took the form of man
Yet your divinity did not part from your humanity
My cup overflows with your everlasting love
As you granted me abundant life
You dwelt in my condition as a human
To cleanse me and sanctify me
In Saint Mary’s womb you were wrapped
And incarnated to save your people
O my Beloved and Saviour you were born
To show your unconditional love
